ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES

The Hawaii Rainbow Rangers as of August 1st, 2020 is now the provider for Animal Services for the Island of Hawaii. The transition to full services is underway and services will continue to be expanded. Until that time, to provide the best care to the animals and residents of the island call response is handled on a priority basis. Please see the list below for more information on calls that are currently being addressed during this time.

  • Intentional Acts of Animal Cruelty or Abuse

  • Confined Stray Animals

  • Loose Dogs

  • Sick or Injured Animals

"Priority 3" & Other Calls for Service

  • Dog Licensing

  • Deceased Animals on Roadways
